>>SAN DIEGO--(BW HealthWire)--June 11, 2002--CardioDynamics (Nasdaq:CDIC - News), the innovator and global leader of Impedance Cardiography (ICG) technology and manufacturer of BioZ® noninvasive digital cardiac function monitoring systems, today announced receipt of an order for nine BioZ.com systems.

The BioZ.com systems will be placed in three Ministry of Health hospitals located in Saudi Arabia. The sale is the result of a company presentation to Saudi cardiologists and anesthesiologists at a meeting sponsored by the Ministry of Health.

Michael K. Perry, CardioDynamics' chief executive officer, stated, "We are pleased that Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health has chosen our company's proprietary technology to help treat heart disease, the number one killer in its country. Our BioZ Systems will provide Saudi hospitals with a noninvasive, safe and cost-effective method of obtaining vital cardiac function data to improve patient outcomes and decrease costs."

In the early 1970s, Saudi's healthcare system underwent dramatic improvements to expand healthcare services and to incorporate the latest medical technological advances across the entire country. In 1970, there were only 74 hospitals with 9,030 beds in Saudi Arabia. By 2000, there were over 320 hospitals, with a capacity of almost 47,000 beds, with 60.8 percent of them belonging to the Ministry of Health.<<
