If you are Christopher Hitchens and hate all religion, blaming it for its bloody history, it makes a kind of sense, but I see a real hatred of Evangelicals by people who don't know any.

I don't get it. Of course, it may be they just hate Christians and won't say it, but I don't know where it comes from, unless Evangelicals is a synonym for Republicans.

Seculars don't know Christians. How can they hate them? And if they do, why don't they hate the other religions equally, Islam, etc.?
