Evan Thomas in the interview i watched on one of the cable shows didn't seem to be one way or the other about bush. He stated we should find out, now that the times published the gathering of data, to determine if eavesdropping and if warrants are required and if Bush broke the law or not. so what is the problem with requesting closed sessions in congress to better understand what we are doing? In the end congress may back away after these hearings and it may quietly go away.. We do need to have justice department investigate nyt management and journalists for breaking any crimes, and anyone who let them know about the secret operations.
