My knowledge of MS's products cannot help you to answer this question, but I can tell you this. Of course upgrading hardware and software is a solution, but don't forget that many softwares are programmed in-house by the companies that deploys them, which makes porting old software to new software very difficult. Just my opinion. Ben Y.
