OK .. I was basically trying to address the 600/800 discussion that the broker put out and explain that it is not a cut and dried, black and white issue. When we discuss 600/800 MHZ, as you know, we are are talking data transaction speed (Bus Cycle Times), not instruction execution speed (MIPS).

As far as Art goes .. a perfectly working computer is a thing of beauty to me ....

P.S. Years ago a processor manufacturer touted the ability to run at 33 MHZ. However, after examination of the instruction set, the only single cycle (30ns) instruction was a NOP. This meant that the processor could do nothing faster that anything on the market

Now I do promise to shut up and go back to lurking.
