Notice the contiguity of the goldish looking grains to the lateral crack or faultiferious zonation going lower right to upper left. The gold itself runs in lines down to the left toward this crack at a high angle to the said break in the pic.

I note that there are NW-running cracks in the earth mapped in the area. These are called faults. I wunner if the mineralazacione reports near to these zonas in zonas themseves crossing said faults. This is classically conjugate sets of fractures that generally cross the axial plane of the fault system or fold. We can say here that the pressure zone crosses the acute angle of the two faults. This should be left to right. (not radiating lines of gold in the upper left may indicate that the plies of the fold are in themselves splayed indicating again that the fold is knapped or overturned, and we are looking at a zone near the nose...) If that is true, then the fold axis is up-down. In the map area it would appear that fold axis may be running to the SE, so the gold lines we see here must run NE-SW and the major crack in the pic runs E-W.
