If you chose BRK.A, then your other stocks just wouldn't count.

But you wouldn't win unless BRK.A had a large percentage gain.

As I understand it, the winner is determined by the highest percentage gain of their overall portfolio.

So, if you have 100 shares of BRK.A, and 100 shares each of 4 more normal-priced stocks, you are nearly 100% weighted in BRK.A. So, your BRK.A performance will determine your outcome.
