Reg,

"You all don't get it do you? Gates is in the circle of life. He wants success, everything else is secondary. This is the best quality I can think of in a CEO (that and owning 25% of the co. stock). "

I think you are confusing "in the circle of life" with "trapped in an endless cycle of upgrades".

My dictionary did not list "wanton lust for power and domination" as one of the definitions of Success. Could somebody double-check Encarta to see if my dictionary is just out-of-date?

"Just as a hypothetical, what would your reaction be if Gates did decide to move base operations to India, and within a year and a half, makes India (presently a emreging market) the number one exporter of software techonology - consequetnly relegating the US two second or third and siphoning many billions out of our economy?"

I'll help him pack if it makes you happy Reg. Believe it or not we do have a software industry which is separate from Microsoft and I believe it could fill the void faster than Microsoft-Pax-Asia could get their products cleared through U.S. Customs. Of, course that's assuming we let them leave the country with such vital technology.

Empty threats if ever I heard them.

Cheers,

Norm
