The "Dale" is an androgenous name, which was apt because G. Elizabeth was a man. He also named his company, 20th Century Motors after the name of a fictitious company created by Ayn Rand in the book, "Atlas Shrugged". I remember the news stories very well and later met people who worked in the Encino building (I think it was on Ventura Blvd.) where "she" had her offices. Some wild stories about that.
