[GTE / 6 MB ?]

Kelly,

<<It is possible that GTE's planners understand that installation costs exceed capital
equipment costs on a per connection basis; therefore their mindset is probably the
same as mine - buy all the power (speed) you can afford at the point in time when
you absolutely have to have it - knowing that demand will expand to fill available
capacity.>>

I take it you know the associted costs of installation for a 1.5mb
adsl modem vs 6mb modem. Also, please share the anticpated revenue
stream from a 1.5mb vs 6mb applications so we could make an
intelligent decision.

Obviously, this is very difficult to do at this point in time. My
guess is GTE and others would install a "quality ADSL solution" that
has a nice migration plan (speeds & applications). Could be CAP...
could be DMT...I don't know the cost differences nor the deployment
timeframes on an RBOC/GTE.

Oh, I forgot, do you think they would implement DMT over CAP, since
standards are important..or do you think this is not an issue.?

Thanks

Bob
