Trump's cognitive change is absolutely the new Big Lie. It's a secret that the few in the know guard with their lives. You hear it in his ramblings, but you SEE it in the erraticism of his ENERGY LEVEL. I see it plenty. This morning, he spoke briefly to the press and was pumped, practically yelling his words. This was such a pronounced change from the past few days, and these changes are less linear than they used to be.

There must be a team not only figuring out how to medicate him and focus him, but how to recalibrate him after he winds down. Cognitive decline is not only evidenced by forgetfulness and disorientation. It's also evidenced by frustration - and you can feel Trump's frustration. And it has the effect of heightening underlying pathology - in Trump's case, his narcissism. He must be a joy to be around. And I'd bet some in his circle are wondering if he will make it to the midterms.
