That's a good point, but if you think about it, die size could only put Intel at a disadvantage if it limits volumes, or if it limits cost cutting. In the case of the former, I think Intel will have plenty of fab capacity, and for the latter, I think Mendocino is a good example where Intel made money on this size die. Can you think of other disadvantages? Could it be that this "die size" argument is all just over-hyped?
