Ted, let me try again. You think Osama wants Bush because Bush will be distracted by Iraq while Al Qaeda regroups.

Ten, no.......bin Laden wants Bush to be strong because he is aggressive and he will take on Iraq and any other country he deems appropriate......like Iran. No matter how you slice it, we are not seen as the good guys in the Middle East. Some on this thread think they will respect us if we take out Saddam. I think that's a crock. It does not surprise me that the Saudis have refused their bases if we go after Iraq.

The Muslims seem like family.....they fight among themselves but when one is attacked by an outsider, they close ranks. That means any threat we present one of them makes bin Laden's recruitment of men and money just that much easier. So he is egging Bush on.....he wants Bush to have the backing of the US and the UN. The stronger Bush thinks he is, the easier it makes bin Laden's life. In other words, Bush is playing right into bin Laden's hands.
