Kendall - I haven't heard anything more than what is on the Yahoo! board regarding the Friday move. I would say the first three of your ideas could have something to them, the fourth one doesn't strike me as something that would move the stock that much. I expect to see more collaboration or acquisition activity between VC providers and telecoms (like GTE) or telecom-hardware companies (Lucent, Cisco). Big multimedia conference in Boston this week, maybe something will be announced there. Ungermann is speaking. If you like the convergence sector, also take a look at TGCC. Made a similar move on Friday on no news. They issued a press release last week regarding their relationship with FORE Systems. Specific developments coupled with a growing awareness of convergence as one of the "next big things" should help to keep this sector hot for a while.
