Rob. I think you may be searching for the missing link. Have you thought of a loaded laptop that you can take to work with you everyday, or possibly telecommuting so you can take your SG system home? I use an internet receiver with a monitor and (gasp) no pc! I can make my position trades early in the a.m. (on the west coast) and keep my office pc separate. This may sound primitive I know, I originally just got the internet receiver as a downstairs system in my house for playing games, but now I actually prefer it to the hassles and software snags and viruses and error messages of computerbased internet access. I think the only other way to bypass the net problems is to go up to the ECN's and the $300+/mo. overhead. It amazes me that industry was actually able to get together early in this century and agree on a univeral typewriter keyboard format because for whatever reasons we can't seem to get modern businesses to agree on any common platforms.
