I bet that guy is a lot of fun at parties.

I interpret this as a move of desperation on the part of the major lenders who are doing everything in their power to not only keep the real estate bubble pumped, but more importantly, to keep the overall economy afloat via credit inflation.

A major bank doesn't give a fig about keeping some bubble pumped or economy afloat. I'd like to be at the meeting where they give this directive to their troops. The bank wants the highest possible return at the lowest risk. They are sitting on record high reserves, they need to make some money using them. They are simply acting in their own selfish self interest just like the clown who wrote this BS.
