Making sweeping generalizations and calling for total change must be a lot of fun. But actually making changes to history is something totally different.

What I can say right now is that the WH finds itself between a rock and a hard place when it come to Egypt and the whole ME in general. A vision has to be laid out and prudent action taken to ensure we are going in the right direction wrt our vision.

Wholesale changes will unlikely to make things better. It will only exacerbate a bad situation.

We are in as good hands with Obama, Clinton, and Obama's administration as any alternative. We have to let events play out and be there to be helpful.

Personally, I think Mubarak has to go. We should do whatever we can to help Mubarak get out and provide as much assistance as possible for a transition to a new government. But I have no idea how that can be done.
