something 30-100 years after he was supposed to have lived??? More like 20-40 years. But thats pretty good compared to other historical figures. he was illiterate, he couldn't write nor read..... Wrong. He was recorded as reading Scripture in a synagogue on one occasion. As bending down and writing in the dust on another. That should be expected. Queen Salome of Judea, one of the Hasmonean rulers, had established schools throughout Palestine. Rabbinic Judaism stressed education. Pretty much all Jews of his time were literate.
