Your last point is actually the reason I'm finally buying a digital camera.
After years of kids wasting film on blurry shots, shots of their feet, hands, squashed bugs, etc., I've figured out that the savings we make on deleting those pictures on a digital camera (as opposed to paying for their development just to get the 6 I like) are worth the investment.

I'd say the same is true for this printing. I don't want every picture for printing purposes, and if I only print a select few anyway (which would be my plan), then paying a little more for the paper still allows me to save in total.

Until my kids figure out how to use the printer....
