Oh but it IS political theater when a politician gets involved over the DOJ. Of course you won't see the difference.

Cook's fraud was referred to the DOJ back on 8/15. Trump has oversight over the DOJ. Trump IS the President and gave her a chance to just walk away like three other Feds did when caught committing stock fraud under Biden. She refused and despite her claims that she will prove him wrong and provide documents to back up her story, the Bank regulator hasn't. Instead, she hired a Dem 'hitman' atty because "it's not political".

You missed the point regarding Cook. Conceivably, if she is found guilty, and trump had the right to fire her, any actions she takes since she was fired could throw Fed decisions into a legal morass. Read what you pasted. She is putting not only the Fed decisions at risk, but Powell too.

And yeah, you are wrong about Powell having to leave next year. That's ONLY if he so chooses.
