Nice to see this is being reported in a "mainstream" outlet (as opposed to just on blogs). I don't count the CNN item, because that was a guest interviewee who probably caught the CNN producers by surprise. Hamas acted on a very real fear of a US-sponsored coup Washington's fingerprints are all over the chaos that has hit Palestinians. The last thing they now need is an envoy called Blair by Jonathan Steele guardian.co.uk Most likely, Hamas' victory in the election as well as in this recent battle were both goals of Eliot Abrams & Co.
