and all the while, yahoo ramps up all of the same services, making the advertising model work on 8M a quarter, with personalized news delivered to your mailbox, chat with anyone on the net, stock quotes with full news coverage (including motley fool), classifieds, message boards, worldwide colonization through regional sites, demographic segmentation, specialized programming, magazine rack branding, and oh yeah, a whole lotta links, searchable links. internet access is just a commodity. anyone can do it right (except aol). my local internet provider is 100% reliable. online interest and interactivity is where it's at, and you don't need an aol account to get it. |
