Scott:
Difference between AMZN and NETP is that NETP has a product that needs to be sold to a client (a company) for big bucks and then implemented at the client for a probably even greater cost then the initial purchase price (I've been in the software business for many years). NETP can't just pop up their company logo on thousands of different web pages all over the internet to get 'eyeballs' and hopefully eventually get enough customers (internet users) to buy their product to make a profit. NETP can probably be more compared to an SAP, Peoplesoft or Siebel (different product, but similar marketing and sell cycle).
It takes marketing at a different level and good references to succeed in that game. The everyday internet user doesn't care what kind of a program or system the company they're purchasing something from uses to determine their buying habits.

Peter

PS: I'm long only a few hundred shares of NETP. Feel it's too much of a gamble to commit serious money. But then, I feel that way about most IPO's, especially internet connected.
