Patricia I agree with both Cheeky's and marks suggestions. If it's an isolated error message just forget about it. If it's happening frequently, it's worth pursuing. This is in the same vein as marks suggestion but have you tried the windows shutdown troubleshooter? If not, Go through the steps answering the questions and following instructions. support.microsoft.com tc
