I Want To See Joe Wilson Sue Somebody -- Lorie Byrd PoliPundit.com Joe Wilson has threatened to sue quite a few people over the past couple of years over statements made about him and the issue of his wife’s alleged “outing.” One of the most recent threats is against Fox News analyst, Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely and is reported at World Net Daily. If you haven’t already read this one, it is not to be missed (link below). I wish that Wilson would sue someone, or that someone would sue him. Now that is a trial I would watch from start to finish. We would get to hear about all the times Joe Wilson talked about his super double secret undercover covert operative agent spy wife and maybe even all the different stories he told about the various issues involved with his trip to Niger. It would be a civil suit so we would not have the “beyond a reasonable doubt” threshold, but the “preponderance of evidence.” How hard could it be to show that Wilson is the liar? If two bipartisan commissions have already issued reports that presented evidence showing he lied, I am sure a fair jury could reach that decision. Of course, if a trial did reveal Wilson as a liar, it would probably get just about as much coverage as the MSM has given to the 9/11 commission report and the Senate intelligence committee report that did the same thing (ed. - almost no honest coverage whatsoever). Update: On the WND story linked above, Ian Schwartz says, “I have heard reports of Wilson pimping his wife’s job at his elite parties and get togethers, it doesn’t’ surprise me that he would do it in the green room at FOX News. I don’t know what’s worse — Wilson outing his own wife or the MSM refusing to report it.” For me it is that the MSM refuses to report it. Not only do they refuse to report negative information on Wilson, but they do propaganda pieces on him on Dateline, 60 Minutes and The Today Show that not only ignore those facts, but intentionally misrepresent them. One example is the Campbell Brown Dateline interview in which the one vague criticism of Wilson is presented with an intro saying “his critics claim…” Not that two bipartisan committees found, but that critics claim. The other reason I chose the MSM reporting option is that I don’t think Wilson did “out” his wife because I don’t believe she was still “covert.” polipundit.com worldnetdaily.com thepoliticalteen.net
