The upper pix is Joseph Hirshhorn, of Latvian descent, and the lower one is Franc Joubin. Both were involved in the Elliot Lake Uranium boom and stakeathon.

I used to stake occasionally with a guy who staked in that rush in the 50's. He was literally parachuted into the area from an airplane. That is what he told me and I am sticking to the story.
