CatLady I should have mentioned that I tried that already. I get a window which says it cannot format said drive because it is either in use or a window is open displaying the contents. To the best of my knowledge I am not currently running any programs off of the slave. And the only window open which shows the drive is the explorer window I use to get to the format option. ht mag
