Emile...that's a very good story. I also experimented the miraculous intervention of God in my life back in 1972, when I got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, while serving in the Armed forces, stationed in Germany. It is definitely good to know Jesus. By the way, I didn't answer you question in post #1533 because: a) I had not read it, and b) I did not feel like getting into a discussion which would not, in my view, profit much to anyone seeking refuge in the words we are "speaking" herein. Out of courtesy, however, I have this to say. I know that a true Jew is one who is a Jew in the heart. Nevertheless, there are also promises in the Bible for the people of Israel in general. I believe, my brother, that many of the stories of the Old Testament have a teaching in the physical realm, as well as a teaching applicable to the church or the People of Israel in general. For example, Abraham had two sons, one from his wife and one from the slave. God told him to get rid of the one from the slave. Later, in the New Testament, Paul teaches us that what happened then was an example of what was to happen to the law. In other words, the son of the Promise, Isaac (which in a way typifies life in the spirit through faith in Jesus), would not inherit together with the son of the slave, which means that according to Paul, the legal intricacies of the "Law" where not applicable to the Church. Like I said, this is just an example. Likewise, there are promises for the sons of Abraham, but there are also promises for the the people of Israel. Do not forget, Jesus is first coming back for us Christians, but the "Second Coming" is for Israel. Brother, there are a lot of books and many theological discussions on this subject. If you have made up your mind on this subject, fine. I do not have a calling for appologetics; I get more joy from leading people to Jesus. But, if you are interested in really knowing both points of views, I suggest you start with the commentaries in Dake's Annotated Reference Bible. I do not agree with all of Dake's teachings, but I take the good and let go what I do not consider too convincing. Maybe you have read many books on this subject, that's fine also. Once again, my brother, I do not wish to keep going back and forth throwing Bible verses at eachother, for love for the people who are "listening." God bless you, and may God's peace be with you and your family and... thanks for sharing your wonderful story with us,
