Tom; The steep declines last fall did not do much damage here, so people think Asia does not matter. However, the profits keep getting squeezed, and this will eventually start hurting us. For now money just keeps flowing into mutual funds as people are comparing notes with their neighbors and congratulating each other how smart investors they are. If this continues for long this way the drop is just so much greater. I am not well versed with valuation models for the market as a whole; just rely on what I read on the business pages, much of which is contradictory. For this reason I have no opinion how much longer the market will keep rising. Seppo
