Unfortunately, there isn't any way to know. The calculation generates a precise but useless number. That's because it must include guesses at the price of natgas and coal, interest rates, electricity demand, etc. It's hard to predict those one year out. Trying to do it 25 years out, you might as well throw darts at a dartboard (with a blindfold on). So, everyone is just guessing. But they invent these precise formulas and calculations, which gives them false reassurance, about their ability to predict the future.
