Jobless Rate Falls to Lowest Level in 4 Years
By VIKAS BAJAJ
Employment was up in virtually every sector of the economy and the country as a whole added 193,000 jobs, the Labor Department reported.http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/03/business/03cnd-econ.html?hp&ex=1139029200&en=71eaaede30e79d63&ei=5094&partner=homepage

UNEMPLOYMENT FALLS TO 4.7 PERCENT [John Podhoretz]

Okay, now I'm really confused. A week ago we were hit with the bewildering news that the economy had only grown 1.1 percent in the fourth quarter last year. Now comes word that payrolls grew by nearly 200,000 last month and the unemployment rate has fallen to a 4-year low. A tightening labor market and a slowing economy? Nuh-uh. Something's very wrong here.
