RE: Iomega Competition

Gil,

You said -

>>Point well taken, but as an IOM shareholder, you keep your eyes open for competition<<

Just my opinion, but when you evaluate Iomega against the competition I recommend you not only look at the easiest evaluation - speeds and feeds, but add the marketing and operations variables. Iomega prides itself on building products the consumer has asked for, the mass market is less interested in speeds and feeds versus "the right product, in the right place, at the right price" to slaughter a KE phrase.

Meaning, look at retail penetration, consumer acceptance/adoption and OEM inclusion, and ability to have profitable price elasticity (obviously there are many other variables) in addition to comparable speeds and feeds. Sorry if this seems obvious, but I just wanted to point it out.
