I don't think Intel has to re-invent itself. Intel's basic business, microprocessors, should be fine for years, supported by huge R&D spending. Intel's only problem is how to learn to live in a world of competitive pricing once the PC paradigm (WinTel monopoly) gives way. The primary problem is that margins will slim down, possibly reducing EPS for a lengthy period. If so, then the stock would come under pressure for a period of time.
