i give the US an good chance. Not a fan of how they play, but they are a team that seems to have scary success scoring VERY early in the game. this gives them a reasonable chance of controlling their own destiny. It prevents the opposition from "settling" into their game and start thinking offence early.

The US have also shown that they can counterpunch and take advantage of limited opportunities with the best of them in this WC.

Would i put money on it? probably not... but i would not put money on any of the 4 games this round.

England can certainly stifle brazil (they have only allowed the lone goal) and pull out a win against the more talented brazilians that has been a little shaky in the back. I really want to watch this game.

Senegal - Turkey? Senegal has proven themselves and Turkey so far has only lost to brazil... a game that they could have won. Funny how everyone has been overlooking turkey. Right from the beginning i have been telling co-workers that they have a decent international record and that Galatasaray were uefa cup champs not too long ago.

korea CAN beat spain... we just need to see if they can keep up their tremendous tempo and if the spanish WC demons continue to haunt as they have in the past.

hmmm... us, korea and either senegal or turkey all in the semis. that would be funny.

;o)
