In your post you noted that Intel mentioned "new business opportunities" that you wern't aware of, could you give more details?

One observation on yesterday 5.6% increase in Intel price, it is pretty typical that when the Dow takes a beating, the market looks for safe havens in the best growth stocks. Coupled with the positive analysts meeting (Jules, thanks for your excellent recap) the money on the sell side had to go somewhere, Intel is as good a place as any.

FYI, Jack Rains on *P* called the break through 73 resistence on Thurday night also, without the benefit of information on the analyst meeting.
