Commentary in This Issue — Indonesia’s Pertamina and its partners could spend
between $20 billion and $40 billion on the offshore Natuna gas field project located 700
miles from Jakarta. Wheatstone LNG has been given final environmental approval.
Osaka Gas Co. will build an LNG tank at its Senboku LNG terminal. The construction
contract for the 1,014 MW Al Rumeila power plant in Iraq is expected to be awarded
this month. The $5.5 billion Northern Gateway pipeline in Canada has been fully
subscribed. Lastly, Georgia Power said they are on track to receive a COL at Vogtle by
the end of 2011...
