Dan, Dempsey is not a dual core. It is two completely separate chips on 1 package.

Well, an academic point really. When you put it in you get two cores. When you take it out- you loose two cores.

It's the performance comparison that matters and as we have seen Intel can throw a lot of cache at the problem and make do enough not to establish an impression of a hopeless situation.

Remember, it's the looks that are most important. Who's counting die.
