I think I will stop here. My main point is that there is a specific history, and that things need not have been so hostile.

Give it up, nobody who makes these arguments really treats the Arabs as people who made choices. Tensions with the Zionists were inevitable, so they jump from there to saying that joining forces with the Nazis and attempting to annihilate the Zionists was equally inevitable, or at the very least fully justified in the attempt. Anyhow, it's all the Zionists' fault for not dying quietly in Europe.
