If this virus is similar to other human coronaviruses (SARS, MERS) , then it may finish like them - coronaviruses mutate slower than flu virus, but they all mutate to become weaker. So, at the end of epidemy, virus is not going away, it may affect millions of people, but it would not be a problem, because people would feel it as regular cold, not even a flu.
