mas, It's a clever chipset and one shouldn't begrudge its success. Yeah, that´s what I´m saying. BTW, there has been this 100M sum attributed to its development, I checked that with IBM, the sum refers to X3 and all of its previous generations together. mas, do you think there is still a lot of potential for Opteron platforms to bump up the performance? That´s currently my hope wrt. Dempsey. On the other hand, AMD has recently said they will not always be faster, but they´ll do what they said they´ll do (execute to roadmaps). From my current perspective, they might have been talking about Dempsey. I hope they´ll come up with something, though, but I can´t see it yet. (last post)
