Bright Voice Systems Inc. (BVSI) rose 2 1/4, or 21 percent, to 12 13/16 and traded as high as 12 15/16. The maker of voice and call-processing systems said InterVoice Inc. (INTV), which makes interactive voice-response systems, agreed to acquire Brite for about $164.4 million in cash and stock.
