But Ericy still using the same part in Sat mode, which is exactly what we are talking about, that is it can talk to both GSM and IS-41 in the same chip! Oh and that is developed by Qcom I forgot to mention. Another thing about kept on cooking the same Q weak in API is that you forgot that's a lot of years ago, esp when Q has to do everything alone in such a short period of time with so little man power. However after so many years of maturation Q's strength in SW should have getting much stronger. There's no denying that GSM is well thought, degined and implemented. But think about how many players got involved(including a lot of academic resources) and how long does it take, then you would be able to put things into perspective.
