Listen everybody let's get real! Comparing a PC (in any form) with a SGI is like comparing a Yugo to a Mercedes. What new technology have you seen in any of the stuff made by Compaq and do you realy get your money's worth? Then look at what SGI integrates into their products - true multi-threaded OS, NUMA, etc ...(I don't want to make this too technical, just check out their web site). The problem now is not the products! How many people have tried a SGI before throwing their money out on a just as expensive PC? The answer is that most haven't. Unfortunately, business (certainly the stock market) is all about profits! Period!
