Time will tell. I don't think anyone knows how this will turn out 10 years from now. As for Stock market has held up, but ask any big-3 auto worker how it goes? I don't see that as a Bush/Republican issue. The American auto industry has been a train wreck waiting to happen for a number of years. Fact is, the Big 3 are saddled with UAW contracts that put them at a distinct disadvantage in competing with the likes of Toyota, Nissan and now the Koreans. When I was a kid growing up (and you know where that was) a lot of kids in my HS viewed a job at the Ford or Chevy plant as a meal ticket for a lifetime. Now, the Ford plant in my home town isn't even a Ford Plant anymore. I don't dispute, however, that money spent in Iraq could be put to good use here in the States. What did you in mind for that money? Finally, who are you rooting for in the Super Bowl this afternoon?
