They are remnant of an era when depravity became fashionable.

Unfortunately, the generations that followed have exhibited increasingly perverse attitudes. Young women are ludicrous and aggressive in their discomfort with modern roles, yet options are limited. Emasculated young men embrace geekdom as an alternative to brave and noble endeavor. The fear of conflict has brought us a population of sheeple. Of course that is a generality and not universally true but in general we've entitled them and trained them to demand comfort and accommodation ... and to expect it to be provided without cost or effort. We hear more and more about the provisions of government as a solution to everything. This all at a time when we face huge struggles with encroaching shortages in food, water, living space and natural resources. The needs of the future and the preparedness of our current generation is a mismatch.

People give not out of ernest generosity but to be seen as charitable.

Wealth is sought, not to provide but to empower.

Education is for title and status rather than to seek knowledge.

Those who struggle to achieve are seen as unworthy next to those who have things without effort.

We have entered an age where comfort exceeds virtue, pleasure outweighs valor, opulence trumps integrity, abundance displaces honor, and truth is sacrificed for device ... and where the status quo is satisfying to the masses.
