Threats of legal action - that must have been by PM or email, I just scanned the appropriate (I think) thread and couldn't see any summons -g-
If you do make it to court, you'll likely find that quite energizing too. I've been in court several times, a couple were serious cases, one of which was bizarre. Usually it was as the plaintiff, just trying to get paid for work done or goods sold, and mostly it was settled on the courthouse steps. Only once did I take less than the full contract price plus costs of collection and a little something for the aggravation. That time the guy was already almost bankrupt, somebody else had acted faster. The really bizarre time, though, I had to defend my honour and freedom and unspotted criminal record from a charge of assault by a neighbour with a fork‚d tongue. I had outbid him on a piece of land and was preparing a building site within sight of his house. He didn't like that. Well, f... 'im, I figured. Then one day a Mountie showed up at the house with a summons - assault. Anybody who knows me knows that's absurd, and there was of course no evidence, but the police here at the time were under instructions to prosecute all accusations of 'violent crime' no matter what. Anyway - long crazy story ensued, at the end of which the judge strongly suggested that he not do that again. I still laugh and flip him a bird as I drive past his house.
So don't worry about it - remember Davy Crockett's saying - "Be sure you're right, then go ahead". Never mind about Davy Crockett being dead wrong helping those thieving americanos to steal a great part of M‚xico, just concentrate on the 'go ahead' part -g- |
