CJ, I was assured by the MAGA crowd that the soybean farmers are doing "just fine."

TIL that China used to purchase roughly half of all American-produced soybeans, and those purchases went down to zero starting in May:

But don't worry. MAGA thinks they can just store the excess soybeans until they can find a market for them.

Maybe Scott "I'm a soybean farmer" Bessent can do that. Purchase all of that commodity, then wait for a time when soybean prices rise.

Maybe he can get Trump to make "deals" with other nations where they will buy up our excess soybeans, because nothing shouts, "I have a long-term strategy" like Trump flipping levers here and there every time something goes wrong.
