todd, please send me e-mail containing URLs or simply the info
that doesn't seem to make sense. I'll try to help. I used to work
strictly on the component level - i.e. testing heads/disks/channels
on a PTS [precision test stand], so I'll have to educate myself
on DD specs. The acronym DTR must mean data rate? We never used that.
But then IBM was pretty self-contained and we were isolated.
I regret that now.
