Per today's press release, the warrants expired and:
The remaining 6.09 million warrants expired without being exercised.

From the 2Q10 MD&A:
As at date of this MD&A [8/12/11], the following securities were outstanding in the capital of NiMin: Purchase Warrants 7,069,941and from the Subsequent Events of 2Q10 MD&A, an additional 258,500 warrants were exercised.

Thus, between 8/13/11 and 9/8/11 expiration, 720,000 additional warrants were exercised at C$1.55 which is interesting since the highest NNN share price was only C$1.40 during this period.
