In the fall of 1998, the analyst community was absolutely convinced that the semis were going to be dead for a couple of years...right before the biggest boom in history and the most incredible rise in stock prices ever. I had a model portfolio of comm. semi stocks that went from $50,000 to over $1 million during the next 16 months. Back then, it was the "Asian Contasian". Now it's China's slowdown that will be the end of the semi industry as we know it.

Don't believe a word of it. That's not to say that the stocks won't fall to unbelievably low levels, it's just that the analysts had it completely wrong and their ability to see the future, well...speaks for itself.
